Everyone, please remember that you can REMOVE dead pools manually from the config file, or (recommended) just use them as the template to write your own.
A "#" at the beginning of the line makes it ignored by the YAM application. I have made my own config files for two systems that restrict YAM to the two P2Pools, and work perfectly with no deadtime or errors.

After months of mostly trouble free mining with yam I am having repeated issues since upgrading to 'x'!
It is really odd and deifinately sporadic in occurance.
I mostly work from home doing remote support and my desk is like a trading floor....four monitors plus my Macbook on the go and lots of RDP session windows. A lot of these have command windows open with yam ticking away nicely...very reasurring! ;-) BUT.....sometimes the figure for shares submitted catches my eye and I notice it has been the same for ages and ages!
A restart of the miner just about always cures it unless there is pool downtime.
I am starting to develop OCD checking the miners every few mins!!!
Note to self; must get out more........

No, you can't. YAM anyway tries to connect to his embedded list of pools.

I've changed my config file over to the new 6 P2Pools, and I get ZERO connections to anything. Zero errors reported, plus through my gateway I have confirmed it is not requesting any other URLs.
I'm not sure what your issue is, but YAM is a fully adjustable platform. Would you like me to write a config for you?

Curious... While my BDver1 YAM m7X does not connect to defunct pools, the Ivy-Bridge (on my cloud server) does, in fact, attempt to connect to defunct pools.
YVG1900, is there a major difference between the two in their interior configuration?

No, thanks, i have a working config. Problem in YAM, not in my config.
And yes, i have Ivy-Bridge version of YAM.

I have confirmed this problem with YAM, though again only my Ivy-Bridge optimized version does it. However, it doesn't seem to affect performance at all, as network calls are run in the background while processing the last delivery.

Sorry I can't help.
