Only one run this week (plus a lot of cycling), but it was a really good one: https://www.endomondo.com/workouts/375813842/15407924

Nearly a marathon. I could have run a marathon, but I had accomplished what I set out to: prove that with the right hydration and nutrition, I can go for a long time in the heat and blazing sun. It was a very hot day, and for the first 3 hours I had practically no shade. I drank 6 liters of water in 4.5 hours; 3 of those liters were in the last 1.5 hours. Drinking that much water, electrolyte replacement is very important; so I religiously replenished with that nasty GU fitness gel stuff. Not terribly tasty, but it did the trick.

This week, I'm doing a couple shorter mid-week runs, and then I'll go on a monster run on Saturday.

One month to go!
