Yes. Do you need a code (for setup on your server) or link for my testing server with working example?

Hello, Delinquency!

I'm glad to see you again!!!
I tried to support MMC during your absence, all these months. MMC blockchain still moving on, I sending some hash power on it.
Oh, btw I have working explorer for MMC and ready to launch a pool (after a hardfork), so it's up to you  ;)

Hello!

Every 20 block is a "grant block" (read MMC conception to understand what is it).
The only one pool that supports MMC mining now is a custom implementation of p2pool. I have one working, but unfortunately this pool can't work correctly with "grant blocks".
So, every 20 blocks someone have to mine 1 block in solo mode or pool will stop working correctly.

Hi!

I'll put a memorycoin.conf in next release of full blockchain archive.

For now, you could use this parameters:
Code: [Select]

rpcuser=yourrpcuser
rpcpassword=yourrpcusersecretpassword
rpcport=1925
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcthreads=8
listen=1
server=1
maxconnections=250

I think we should do whatever it needs to revive the coin. IP addresses for sure (it was not so easy to sync my wallet), but a trustable website with a downloadable wallet would help very much too.
Then we should fight to be relisted in exchanges, again.
I didn't get so much the "grant block" but if it's a problem to continue let's do what is needed...
Wallet can be downloaded from this website - here it is http://www.mmc-forums.com/index.php/board,34.0.html
Pool and exchange listing will come after successful hardfork.

Well, what you are suggesting is to remove one of the main facets of Memorycoin that has made it what it is previously. I think that if you guys decide now to disable the grant blocks system, I can do that, and given the fact that p2pools can work without grant blocks can give us bigger adoption rates.

I'm sure if we all decide to disable it now, I will have to recompile everything and the hard fork would be in a week from now, but at least we have a working p2pool system.

In other words, disabling the grant blocks will lead to higher miner income - and possibly less support from developers. But I'm sure that if these issues are fixed we could just hard-fork the code again.
I vote for this. I believe in great MMC future.  8)

So memorycoin seems to be dead. Some active nodes are there, I could add a static node myself too but I want to know if Delinquency or someone else will do something for this currency in the future or not.
It's a pity to see memorycoin in this state. I trusted very much, I currently own more than a (useless) thousand MMC, I liked very much the difficult mining where ASICS where not possible so that mining was a democratic operation.
There is even a real 3d printed memorycoin we can still buy here (designed by me): https://www.shapeways.com/product/NS85F7947/memorycoin-real-coin?optionId=55937238

Don't let this coin to death!!! Let's revive it!!!
Yes, we can. See this topic for answer: http://mmc-forums.com/index.php?topic=32.msg2229#new

You're right, with the new uprise in cryptocurrencies, MMC is now a valuable coin. The current block is about 13 days ago and with our inflation rate, adoption won't hurt anyone new too badly. I can update the wallet posts with new node IP addresses and an archive of the current blockchain to speed up the block update process for newcomers.
Hello!
As I already mentioned, I have a working pool for MMC. All we need to do - is eliminate a "grant block" problem. I think, you can patch the MMC source code to solve this.
The idea of "grant blocks" is dead for sure now. We should remove it and move on to get listed on exchanges. Without working pool and exchange this coin will be dead.
